  • Note down which part and repair. If case of loose connection over a barbed connector then use TEFLON TAPE to thicken up the barb before refitting the hose.

  • Has the centre plant suffered much?

  • Goldfish. How are they looking?

  • Unwell? Take photos of individuals and check for causes. Questions: 1. Is it just an individual or are both affected? 2. Check for uneaten food, levels of AMMONIA or NITRITE. 3. Filter or heater stopped or malfunctioning?

  • Anything on Body?<br>Fungus? Red spots?

  • Take PHOTO of cases and NOTE down details

Setup

  • Brush, broom and nets in cupboard Take out the four lily pots and place on the tiles to the sides Start top-up of water level to top of inner lining. Anchor with brick or Lily pot Use broom to lightly sweep sides and bottom of pond Scrub the sides and edge of the fountain bowl Catch as much leaves and debris as possible. Discard neatly in the garden. Remove any leaves and debris from among the fountain bowl rocks Clean up centre plant; any brown or bent blades cut off at the base with scissors Give a quick pass over with the brush over the sides of the lily pots and rinse them gently in the hose water and return to their positions (Favour the front as more light there) Use broom to sweep down excess water around pond.

  • Rinse TEST VIALS in pond water, pH (square vial) and GH (large round vial) MEASURE 5ml in each and SET ASIDE for later. (Tip: use SQUARE VIAL or a SYRINGE to measure an accurate 5ml for the GH)

  • Turn on GARDEN HOSE to both FLUSH out old water and set the RATE of flow. During this: Pull out HOSE & bring to pond edge. Secure with brick or lily pot
