The use of RCD (Residual Current Device) if using equipment operating at 230 volts or higher can provide additional safety. Either, build it into main switchboard or the socket outlet as this means the supply cables are permanently protected. Use of MEWPS on footpaths should be avoided where possible due to the amount of services being buried underneath.
