CONTRACTOR DOCUMENTS

  • I have been made aware of the site safety rules shown below -

  • The following rules have been prepared to inform workers about accepted working practices:

    - Permission must be obtained from the team leader prior to commencing any work on site.
    - All personal shall undergo safety induction training.
    - Appropriate PPE shall be worn at all times.
    - Every accident or near miss event must be reported to the team leader immediately.
    - notify the team leader or person in control of the workplace immediately if you think hazards are not adequately controlled.
    - Any person found to be interfering with or misusing fixtures, fittings or equipment provided in the interest of health , safety and welfare shall be excluded from site.
    - Smoking will only be permitted in designated areas.
    - Vehicle drivers must wear the appropriate PPE (when outside the vehicle).
    - All electrical tools and leads are to be inspected and tagged every 3 months
    - Do not approach any machinery, plant or equipment unless the driver or operator expressly indicated to you that he has seen you and it is safe to do so.
    - Wear seat belts at all times when driving or operating vehicles or equipment If there is seat belts fitted.
    - Vehicle drivers must secure loads for pick up and delivery, not to be overloaded.
    - Safety signs and notices must be followed.
    - The public must be protected from hazards associated with this work.
    - No person who is under the influence of alcohol or drugs is allowed on site.
    - Offensive or inappropriate language and provocative gestures are not allowed.
    - No personnel shall indulge in horseplay or practical jokes within the site or it's perimeter.
    - Toilets and washrooms must be kept in a clean and huge ethic state after use.
    - Refuse must not be allowed to accumulate and work areas are to be kept tidy.
    - Combustible materials are to be removed on a regular basis and disposed of in an appropriate manner as per the safety data sheet.
    - Ensure are register is completed and Safety Data Sheets available.
    - Ensure to remove all the hazardous substances from site at the end of the day.
    - All site personnel for their own safety and for the safety of others are required to fully comply with their employers statement of safe working method.
    - Site fire and emergency alarms, equipments and instructions are designed to protect life, they must be followed.
    - No radios unless authorized by the team leader, they must be tested and tagged and not excessively loud.
    - All contractors must obtain work permits for any notifiable works prior to commencing work.
    - Cell phones shall only be used for the work related calls, personal cell phones and calls to be used in scheduled breaks.
