Maintenance on acid containing equipment and pipes

  • Are pumps swithced off and locked/tagged out?

  • Are lines/pumps drained prior to starting work?

  • If there is a possibility of residual acid extra PPE must be worn when openingnthe equipment (spacel or water proof jacket and trousers, and PVC gloves).

  • When welding/cutting has a hot work permit been completed and approved?
