Prior to beginning an evacuation exercise:
- Select a scenario to simulate, and a location for it to take place
- Do not let the scenario team know until the scenario begins, at which point the observer will let the Chief Warden know to begin communication with Wardens and work through the exercise
- Assign an observer to watch, fill out checklist below and give a debrief after the scenario
- Assign Chief Warden to act during the scenario
- Assign all other team member to either Warden or Actor roles to participate in the scenario
- Ensure any communication during exercise via PA is articulated to be an 'exercise only' at the beginning for patrons -

Please place notes in relevant question responses, and use the observations to complete a debrief with the team after the scenario is complete.
Ask the group to discuss the scenario together and give each other constructive feedback first, before giving them your observational feedback, trying to articulate things done well, as well as things that could be improved in future. -
