Asset Inspection

  • THERMOSCAN: Conduct thermographic survey of all components (including Bushings) (PLEASE NOTE: All apparent temperatures in our report have been recorded with an emissivity of 0.95 and reflected temperature has not been accounted for except where otherwise stated) (MUST RECORD: Image numbers from thermo camera in Notes)

  • Check Switchboard Room for integrity, clearances around equipment, reduced access, exit doors operation, heat build up and ventilation.

  • Perform full visual inspection on asset and confirm compliant with Australian Wiring Rules. Confirm SWB is sealed and there are no unaccounted openings/penetrations. Confirm there are no exposed live parts that are readily accessible in lieu of tool or locking device. Confirm switchboard is securely fixed and or anchored.

  • Where possible, measure and record load and report full load current draw. Add values in the Notes section.

  • Check the switchboard for signs of deterioration in seals. Confirm: covers, dome nuts, hinges & handles installed and in good working order

  • Check the switchboard for labeling required by codes and regulations. Confirm switchboard legend is also present and up to date (include in photos)

  • Check the switchboard for signs of insulation degradation.

  • Check the switchboard for signs of corrosion in both the cabinet and switchgear.

  • Check the switchboard for unusual smells.

  • Check all joints, connections and terminations for tightness; Tighten where necessary/possible.

  • Check for loose mountings; Tighten where necessary/possible.

  • Visually Inspect all mechanisms and indicating devices for signs of burning, overheating, misalignment or other damage and be cleaned or repaired as necessary.

  • Visually inspect all fuse carriers for signs of deterioration.

  • Visually inspect all fuse carriers to ensure the rating of installed fuses is correct.

  • Confirm there are no unterminated cables/conductors?

  • Switchboard wiring/cabling adequately supported; cable ducts/trunking in good condition with covers in situ

  • Confirm main earth and neutral conductors are secure and terminated correctly

  • Confirm switchboard is clean?

  • Take x3 photos of switchboard before being cleaned

  • Take x3 photos of switchboard after being cleaned

  • Overall Condition Rating?
