Walking the Facility

  • Has every area been audited within the facility noting areas that have had heavy usage and high traffic areas for additional thorough cleaning?

  • New cleaning equipment & materials identified (foggers, dispensers, desk mats, NanoSeptic, chemicals, PPE, etc.)

Review New Configurations/Technology

  • New equipment & materials to support workplace reconfiguration (ex. Six Foot Office configuration, hands-free restroom, signage, etc.)

  • Have we reviewed the new configurations to ensure cleaning practices comply?

  • Ensure adequate stock of paper and plastic products exists (toilet paper, paper towels, etc.)

  • Have we provided recommendations on the delivery of tissues, no-touch trash cans, hand soap, alcohol-based hand sanitizer and wipes containing at least 60 percent alcohol, disinfectants, and disposable towels for workers to clean their work surfaces (sanitizing stations)?

  • Assessed the need for application of touchless paper towel dispensers in restrooms, replacing air hand dryers

  • Can we implement self-cleaning technology for high touch surfaces and applications for tablets and screen

  • Coordinate cleaning with other facilities services to optimize efforts and with other facility services e.g. sequence of start-up

  • Review run time for restroom automatic faucets to ensure run time duration is at least 20 seconds - request engineering modify if necessary

Employee Clock In Areas/Storage/Carts

  • Review Kronos areas to ensure proper spacing plan and ensure hand sanitizer is placed at every location?

  • Move tables 6 ft apart and remove or take any excess furniture out of service to avoid employees from using (If not available, escalate to HSSE and VP)

  • Review areas for employee meeting, announcements and gathering ensure social distancing can be enacted, if not direct all communications so that social distancing can occur or meetings are virtual

  • Prior to employee start review face coverings and uniform requirements

  • Coordinate all daily janitorial shift meetings to reflect the required social distancing for protection of supervisors and employees

  • Review office and ensure environment meets requirements for social distancing

  • Complete Janitorial Management Staffing - Preparing the Workforce Checklist prior to proceeding to next section

  • After Preparing the Workforce Checklist has been completed coordinate staffing for cleaning and disinfection of the facility prior to return of client and users

Management Validation of Cleaning and Disinfection

  • Did Management submit janitorial audit post cleaning and disinfecting?

  • Have employees performing the cleaning and disinfecting completed the Verification of Cleaning and Disinfection Checklist?

  • Did management verify cleaning performed at the facility and document cleaning using the Verification of Cleaning and Disinfection Checklist?
