Visual Inspection

  • Inspect cable for damage. Is cable in good condition?

Continuity testing.

  • Test the tester before use. Plug transmitter and receiver into short cable stored in tester pouch. All test lights should align. Do not proceed if test fails. Test ok?

  • If no, try a different tester or cable. Did this solve the problem?

  • Now test the cable. Plug in the transmitter at source. Plug in the receiver at the destination. Return to the transmitter. Ensure all lights operate in sequence. Go back to the receiver. Ensure all lights operate in sequence. Test ok?
