  • CATHEAD CHAIN ADJUSTMENT: Is there proper tension in the cathead chain?

  • To adjust Cathead Chain:
    a) Remove safety guards from the cathead assembly
    b) Loosen, but to not remove, the four mounting bolts on the adjustment plate until the cathead spindle plate will slide horizontally
    c) Slowly tighten adjusting bolts until the proper chain tension is achieved
    d) Tighten the four mounting bolts
    e) Reassemble the safety guards

  • CLUTCH: Are there any worn disks, broken clutch springs, broken or worn clutch fingers, or frozen or worn throw-out bearings in the bell housing?

  • CLUTCH: Are there any broken parts or binding in the clutch linkage?

  • CLUTCH: Is there between 1/8" to 1/4" free play between the throw-out bearing and the pressure plate fingers, when the clutch lever is fully released, is

  • GUIDE TUBE BUSHING: Is there excessive movement between the guide tubes and feed cylinder housings?

  • HYDRAULIC CYLINDER: Are there any nicks or scratches on the cylinder rod?

  • RIGHT ANGLE DRIVE SERVICE: Is the oil level up to the top of the plug hole?

  • ROTARY BOX: Is oil level up to the top of the plug hole?

  • QUILL OIL SEALS: Are there any grooves or scratches visible on the quill sleeves?
