Standards

  • APPLICABLE STANDARDS: The Scope of our review includes, and is limited to, the following safety codes and standards: OSHA 29 CFR 1910.212, ANSI B11.TR6, ANSI B11.0, OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147, ANSI/RIA R15.06.

  • Note: This audit consists of reviewing Safeguards, Mechanical hazards, Nonmechanical hazards and Electrical hazards. Refer to the Decostar CMMS Program (preventive maintenance). Protective Equipment and Proper Clothing are contained in the Procedure section of the Decostar CMMS maintenance work order. For Machinery Maintenance and Repair details refer to the Decostar CMMS preventive maintenance work order.

General Safety Checks

  • All machine guarding in place, (fencing, barrier guards, cover plates, inspection plates, etc.)?

  • All electrical panels closed and secured?

  • Machine area walkways clear of debris such as (nuts, bolts, trash, etc)?

  • All cables and hoses positioned so as to not create a trip hazard?

Light Curtain / Cell Door Checks

  • Open each one of the cell door(s). Verify the robot(s) faulted, and cannot be restarted.

  • Break each one of the robot cell light curtains, if equipped. Verify the robot(s) faulted, and cannot be restarted.

  • Press the E-stop on each cell door handle control station, if equipped. Verify the robot(s) faulted, and cannot be restarted.

Emergency Stop Devices

  • Press the E-stop on the HMI panel, if equipped. Verify the robot(s) faulted, and cannot be restarted.

  • Press the E-stop on the electrical control panel, if equipped. Verify the robot(s) faulted, and cannot be restarted.

  • Press the E-stops on each robot controller panel. Verify the robot(s) faulted, and cannot be restarted.

  • Press the E-stops on each robot teach pendant. Verify the robot(s) faulted, and cannot be restarted.

  • Press each E-stop on the cell. Verify the robot(s) faulted, and cannot be restarted.
