DSJV CC31 Edge Protection

1) When edge protection is installed, is it compete with top guardrail, intermediate guardrail and toe boards?

2) Where work is to be preformed at a distance from the edge, are barriers erected around the immediate work area?

3) Where it is not reasonably practicable to install full edge protection, are mobile anchor points and inertia reels used?

4) Are lifelines or inertia reels installed and full body harnesses worn by employees?

5) Are employees protected by safety harnesses or safety net systems when working in an area with an unprotected edge?

6) Whee covers are provided over openings, are they suitable, clearly marked and/or barricaded?

7) Have operatives been briefed about the hazards and control measures in place prior to beginning work?

8) Are suitable access/egress arrangements in place including emergency rescue?

9) Is there a relevant permit to work at height in place?

10) Are tools at the leading edge of the work attached to a lanyard or tethered to prevent them falling?
