GUIDANCE

  • It is essential for insurance purposes that the closedown of your Restaurant is performed according to the following checklist. Please remember to attach notes, images and actions where you have been prompted!

SYSTEMS

  • Ensure that the power to network, PC and tills to remains on throughout closedown

  • Make sure tills are empty and left open

  • CCTV is on, fully functional and recording

SITE CHECKS

  • Test fire alarm

  • Fire Escapes are clear

  • Customer notices are attached to windows and doors

  • All internal doors and windows throughout the site MUST be checked, SECURE and LOCKED

  • Signs of pest activity

  • Ensure that the restaurant is deep cleaned before closure

FRONT OF HOUSE

  • All draught beer & cider tap nozzles removed and left to soak in sanitiser solution

  • Check coffee machine is fully unplugged and deep cleaned

  • Move all sealed coffee bags to the freezer for storage

  • All back bar fridges switched off and DOORs LEFT OPEN

KITCHEN

  • Upright and Service fridges turned OFF, cleaned, disinfected and doors open

  • Freezer Temperature checks recorded

  • IF THE TEMPERATURE IS ABOVE 13 ALL FOOD MUST BE DISCARDED IMMEDIATELY
