  • INSEE Ecocycle Lanka (Pvt) Ltd or the occupier is bound to ensure that the terms and conditions given in this letter are adhered to, during the period of project implementation. The INSEE Ecocycle Lanka (Private) Ltd shall have full control over a third party that may be involved in project implementation by entering into agreements, which contain the conditions stipulated in this letter with such parties. IELPL would be held responsible for the breach of any such conditions by any contractor or any sub contractor. PEANWP shall have access to the contract documents pertaining to environmental aspects, entered in to by IELPL and any outside contractors

  • A Copy of the License should be kept at the project site at all times, for purpose of paersual byconcerned agencies

  • Cost to be incured in giving effect to the implementation of the terms and conditions of this license should be borne by INSEE Ecocycle Lanka (Pvt) Ltd as project implementation cost

  • INSEE Ecocycle Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. is obliged to temporarily suspend any project activity the instruction of PEANWP, if unforeseen adverse impacts associated with the project, which cannot be adequately mitigated, on due notice given by PEANWP

  • INSEE Ecocycle Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. should adhere to any condition (s) imposed by the PEANWP & Pradeshiya SabhaPuttalam whenever required

  • INSEE Ecocycle Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. should obtain necessary approvals from the other relevant authorities such as Local Authority

  • INSEE Ecocycle Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. should adhere to the norms of the Basel convention as and when applicable

  • Emissions from point and all non point (fugitive) sources should be controlled in order to maintain the ambient air quality standards at the boundaries of the premises as specified by the extra ordinary gazette notification No. 1685/11 of 21.12.2010

  • Report on ambient air quality at the boundary of the premises should be made available to PEA NWP in every six months

  • The noise level should not exceed 55 dB (A) from 06 00 hrs to 18 00 hrs and 45 dB (A) from 18 00 hrs to 06 00 hrs to be measured at the boundary of the factory site

  • No waste water should be discharged in to the open environment without adequate treatment

  • Waste water arising from the operational activities should be treated and discharged as per the specifications given in the extra ordinary gazette notification No. 1685/11 of 21.12.2010,

  • Domestic waste water should be discharged in to properly constructed soakage pit (s)/septic tank (s) in consultation with the relevant Local Authority

  • Officers In Charge of waste management system should be trained on development of waste management plans, organization and management of waste including monitoring and evaluation

  • A protocol should be established that describes action to be taken during an exposure to hazardous substances

  • Waste handle and transporters should be equipped with mandatory personal protective equipment as indicated in EIAR

  • If an accidental fire, natural disasters such as floods protection procedures should be adopted as indicated in the contingency plan of EIAR in order to prevent possible hazards

  • Fire safety measures should be adopted as per the guidance of Fire Services Department

  • A well planned emergency response system should be placed and mock drills should be conducted frequently to deal with contingencies

  • An environmental unit should be established under the direct supervision of a trained and qualified environmental officer who's capacity could be accepted to PEANWP

  • This environmental unit should act as the contact body for members of the public and should lais with relevant organizations

  • The INSEE Ecocycle Lanka (Pvt) Ltd.shall make available sufficient resources to enable the monitoring plan to operate successfully

  • A monitoring mechanism involved with a third party, shall be established in order to ensure the implementation of the conditions stipulated in this letter as well as the monitoring of coprocessing

  • INSEE Ecocycle Lanka (Pvt) Ltd.shall ensure that all employees are trained and aware of the plan, their responsibilities in executing the plan. Copies of the plan shall be placed at a suitable location and consulted on a regular basis

  • Fire detection and fire fighting system shall be provided, and maintained in proper working order

  • Fire protection equipment and facilities shall be made available at suitable locations

  • Adequately trained fire fighters should be made available for each working shift. Skills of those fire fighters shall be evaluated regularly (necessary approvals shall be obtained from the Fire Department)

  • Data on all Environmental aspects of plant operation shall be continuously updated and available in a form suitable for immediate inspection by authorized officers from the PEANWP and other officers from relevant agencies

  • Data on all Environmental aspects of preprocessing of scheduled waste shall be submitted to the PEANWP quarterly. The format and the frequency of submitting such reports shall be determined by the PEANWP

  • All accidents related to pre processing process shall be reported according to the format in the regulation No. 1685/11 of the Extra Ordinary Gazette Notification

  • Any expansion or changes to the industry/process other than the expansions indicated in your applications shall not be carried out without prior approval of the PEANWP

  • Operation or installation of any machinery/equipment other than those stated in your application shall not be carried out without prior approval of the PEANWP

  • This EPL issued for this industry shall not be considered as an approval for carrying out this industry/process at this location. It is only a permit for the discharge of effluents/emissions or emitting of noise levels according to stipulated standards. The written approval of the relevant local authority should be obtained for the operation of the industry at this location
