WASTE MANAGEMENT - SITE WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN

  • 1.1 Is the Site Waste Management Plan accurate - listing the following:

  • 1.1.1 Current Site Team

  • 1.1.2 Waste Hauliers

  • 1.1.3 Waste Collection Permit details

  • 1.1.4 Waste Facilities (destination for resources taken off-site).

  • 1.1.5 Waste data updated for waste removed from site.

  • 1.1.6 Has the Plan been updated in the past month by project team?

WASTE MANAGEMENT - DOCUMENTATION

  • 2.1 Is there a valid Waste Collection Permit on file for all waste collection contractors?

  • Any resource that is legally a 'waste' (including soil and stone) must only be transported by a haulier with a valid Waste collection Permit.

  • 2.2 Is there a Waste Facility Permit on file for destinations where waste has been sent?

  • All waste removed from site must be sent to a suitably authorised waste facility.

  • 2.3 Are signed dockets/invoices on file from the waste haulier?

  • 2.4 If subcontractors are removing waste from site, have they provided a SWMP and copies of relevant permits and licences?

  • 2.6 Has hazardous waste been removed from site and disposed of correctly?

  • Each movement of hazardous waste off-site is to be legally accompanied by a Waste Transfer Form. Hazardous wastes disposal must be supported by disposal certificates from contractors authorised by the EPA to dispose of such materials.

WASTE MANAGEMENT - ON SITE

  • 3.1 Are waste skips provided signposted to identify different waste streams?

  • 3.2 Are materials being recycled as appropriate? Check the skips for evidence and no contamination.

  • 3.3 Are skips / containers not overfilled and no evidence of waste being blown away?
