Is Machinery being used on site, or has it been since your last visit?<br>

Is the agreed machinery and equipment being used?

Is biodegradable chain oil being used?

Is work progressing as previously agreed?

Are machinery and equipment maintenance records being kept?

Are chainsaws being used on site, or have they been used since your last visit?

Has the use of chainsaws been justified and a risk assessment appropriate to the site and task been produced?<br>

Is there an agreed buddy system in place for chainsaw operators?<br><br><br>

Are all chainsaw operations progressing to the agreed standards and safe systems of work?

Do stumps provide evidence of correct felling techniques?

Is there evidence that FISA standards are being complied with?<br>

Is there provision for the safe take down of hung up trees?

Is the operator wearing correct PPE and carrying a personal first aid kit?<br>

Has a FISA Checklist been completed for the operators within the last 6 months?

Are powerlines present on site?

Is FISA Guidance 804 - 'Electricity at Work: Forestry ' being complied with?

Are Red and Amber zones clearly marked and identified?<br>

Are goalposts correctly placed and serviceable?<br>

Are warning signs in place with line heights identified?<br>

Are watercourses present on site?

Are watercourses managed in accordance with the Forest and Water Guidelines and free from debris and pollutants?

Is diffuse pollution control equipment available on site (silt netting and/or other eg sand bags)?<br><br>

Is water of consistent quality/colour above and below the worksite?<br><br>

Are environmental safeguards in position? I.e. buffer zones marked out etc

Are appropriate oil / chemical spill kits available?

Is there any evidence of fuel / oil / chemical spillage on site?

Fuel storage as per site plan, locked and at least 10 metres from watercourses and 50 metres from water supplies?

Waste being correctly controlled?

Brash mats being maintained?

Are any operators or other personnel present on site?<br><br>
