- superficial bruising, damage and abrasions <1mm deep and <2sq cm in area
- naturally occurring brown blemish <3sq cm
- base cracking: 3 or less cracks per affected item; no more than 3 affected items per carton; cracks must be <3cm length, <1cm width, <1.5cm depth
