Toolbox Talk Subject Matters discussed (and any commitments by management to investigate/follow-up on) • Correct work clothing – high vis, work boots, gloves, sunscreen/sunhat and sunglasses • Correct PPE use – gloves when accessing pits, hearing protection and safety glasses when drilling and operating the trencher • Work area tidy and delineated by barricades/witches hats/ bunting/signage • Pedestrians/road users have safe 1.2m wide access around site. Pedestrians not ‘pushed off established path’ and onto road to bypass work area unless speed <60km/h, signage and barricades in place • Maintain safe distances when operating EZ trencher. Ensuring equipment is well maintained. • Fall protection (if working greater than 1.2m above ground) • Buried/Overhead services identified and avoided • Asbestos controls/PPE in place. Waste disposed of as per asbestos training • First aid equipment shown to workers and made sure that it is readily accessible • Are trailers tidy, Tools/equipment being looked after. Trailer wheels must be chocked if not attached to a secured vehicle. • Ground being re-instated once work completed.
