Fire Safety

  • Does the hotel have a valid fire certificate in accordance with the country's legal requirements ? <br>

  • Is there a recent fire risk assessment by an independent external auditing body ?

  • Is the property protected by adequate fire fighting equipment for the size of the property.

  • Are all equipment serviced and maintained on a regular basis ? Are these logged

  • Are staff in all departments aware of their responsibilities in case of fire ? <br>(Kindly note ALL staff, including security, temporary staff, co-owners contractors and any suppliers should be made of your emergency procedures at all times)

  • Do all fire escape routes exit at ground level and direct to the open air ? Are these exits clear from obstruction ? <br><br>

  • Is emergency lighting in place and are all units working ? Are these tested monthly and recorded?

  • Are fire safety instructions and evacuation notices placed in all Guest rooms and public areas in a visible location ? <br>

  • Does the hotel have a policy for evacuating disabled guests to safety in case of Emergency ? <br>Are disabled guests located on lower floors and near to exits ?

  • Are any "high risk areas " ( kitchens. Boiler rooms, function rooms) located in the same building as guest accommodation ? <br>
