  • Is there suitable signage on the door ?

  • Does the door close snugly by its own self closing device ?

  • Does the door shut snugly without frame or hinge impediment ?

  • Is the closure adequate, securely attached to frame & door, free from damage. When operated holds door in line with frame & intumescent seal. If hung in pairs close in line when both opened and released together ?

  • Door Hold Open Devices - Are there free from damage & functioning correctly ?

  • Are Intumescent strips/seals in place ?

  • Are seals continuous in door leaf or frame ?

  • If present are drop down seals free from damage and fit for purpose ?

  • If present are Letterboxes, Cat Flaps, Air Vents of correct intumescent type ?

  • Is the door to floor covering consistently 10mm (3mm if smoke seals are fitted) or less when door is closed ?

  • If the door is fitted with threshold seal does this make contact with the floor covering when the door is closed ?

  • Door Hardware - Handle, Locks, Hinges of Correct type and free from damage ?

  • Door Glazing & Vision Panels free from damage and of correct type and securely in place ?

  • FD60 Doors - are intumescent pads installed to hinges ?
