HIGH RISK FAIL - You must ensure ramps are correctly installed and ensure there is enough room for disabled highway users to safely pass.

Do all of your Walk Boards have rubber edges, and are they placed to cover excavations fully and without trips?

Are you installing all duct at the correct depth?

Our Client will inspect 100% of works. If your duct is recorded as shallow you will be asked to re-excavate it all and reinstall deeper.

Is sand being used as duct bedding and duct cover?

Our Client will inspect 100% of works. If your duct is recorded as not having a duct bed or cover you will be asked to re-excavate it all and reinstall it correctly.

Are you using wired marker tape at the correct depth?

Our Client will inspect 100% of works. If your duct is recorded as not having marker tape placed above it, you will be asked to re-excavate it all and reinstall it correctly.

Are you using Type 1 quarry stone ONLY for backfill material?

Our Client will inspect 100% of works. If you backfill with anything other than Type 1 quarry stone, you will be asked to re-excavate it all and reinstall it correctly.

Following backfill, have you left the correct minimum depth for the Surface Course? (tarmac, concrete, block pave etc.)

Have all tarmac edges been cut vertical and straight with no breaches of 150mm or 250mm rule?

If edges are not cut vertical and straight or the 150mm or 250mm rule has been left behind, a defect will be issued by the Local Authority.

Are you ensuring that your site is swept completely clean when works are due to close?

WARNING - The Local Authority will issue a Section 74 over run if you leave staining behind after the works have closed.
