I hereby assume full responsibility to provide and maintain a Fire Watch, as required by 202 of the Fire Code of New York State, at the aforementioned address until such time when the required emergency system(s) of the building is(are) restored to full operation and are in compliance with the Fire Code of NYS.

Fire Code of New York State - Section 202
"FIRE WATCH: A temporary measure intended to ensure continuous and systematic surveillance of a building or portion thereof by one or more qualified individuals for the purposes of identifying and controlling fire hazards, detecting early signs of unwanted fire, raising an alarm of fire and notifying the fire department."

Fire Code of New York State - Section 901.7 Systems out of service:
"Where a required fire protection system is out if service, the fire department and the code enforcement official shall be notified immediately, and the building shall either be evacuated or an approved fire watch shall be provided for all occupants left unprotected by the shutdown until the fire protection system has been returned to service.

Where utilized, fire watches shall be provided with at least one approved means for notification of the fire department and their only duty shall be to perform constant patrols of the protected premises and keep watch for fires."

* Fire Protection System: Approved devices, equipment and systems or combinations of systems used to detect a fire, activate an alarm, extinguish or control a fire, control or manage smoke and products of a fire or any combination thereof.
