Safety measures.

  • Chock tires.

  • Ground your truck.

Buying process.

  • Drop woodback in top third of oil column.

  • Tie off woodback to hatch(wait five minutes).

  • Thief top third of oil column.

  • Take top sample from thief for grindout.

  • Insert hydrometer(five minutes).

  • Read hydrometer quickly for gravity and temp.

  • Thief bottom of tank.

  • Take bottom sample(10")

  • Gauge tank(twice).

  • Read woodback(Is the woodback marked for easy read 30,60,90?).

  • Empty woodback and hang in tank( not in oil).

Testing.

  • Test samples at 140 degrees or more.

  • Spin out.

  • Read grind out, check BS&W(Do you know how to read a 100 vs. 200 sample viles?).

  • If grind out is unacceptable, CALL DISPATCH.<br>If grindout is acceptable, continue with steps to load.

Loading.

  • Hook up hose.

  • Turn pump on and check for vac.

  • Break seal(keep seal), open valves.

  • Load trailer(remember top spill issues- getty box, know your trailer, do not get in truck.

  • Shut valves, seal tank.

  • Suck hose and getty box dry.

  • Unground.

Finishing process.

  • Lower woodback 1" from bottom(five minutes).

  • Gauge tank(twice).

  • Read woodback(careful to get reading accurate quickly).

  • Fill out paperwork, leave appropriate slip at weelhead.

  • Text bbls hauled to dispatch. Send pictures for plains.
