Please note, container that is used for international transport MUST have a valid safety approval or CSC plate. CSC stands for : Conatiner Safety Convention.

To prevent damage in transit, containers should be properly inspected BEFORE and AFTER the packing. HERLI auditor should do the following:

Container in good clean condition, if no or in doubt please take pictures

No holes or cracks in walls or roof

Doors operate properly

Closing devices operate correctly

Door handles / Hinges in good condition

No Dg stickers or placards on the containers

Take Pictures of container externals
Inside Container
-
Container is water tight. Test method: enter container, close both doors tightly and look for incoming light (e.g. Through racks, holes, door gaskets etc.)

Container Interior is absolutely dry (wipe up any condensation or white frost to avoid corrosion and moisture damage of the cargo)
-
Container is clean, free of cargo residues and neutral in odour
-
No nails or other protrusions which could damage the cargo
-
No oil stains / floorboard markings
-
Floorboard / Structural damages
-
Take picture of container internally
INSPECTION AFTER PACKING

Container is packed & secured appropriately to sustain the cargo transit

Take picture of cargo packing
-
Doors closed and sealed securely
-
Old DG or adhesive labels have been removed
-
No structural damages after packing eg, floorboards or container walls etc
-
Take picture of sealed container
COMPLETION

Container has been inspected by HERLI AU representative.
