  • Is the cigarette dispenser regularly emptied?

  • Are there cigarette butts on the ground or in garbage bins?

  • Is there adequate distance between the building and combustible materials and the designated smoking area of at least 4m?

Rubbish

  • Is the rubbish and combustible materials stored a minimum of five metres away from the building, including wooden pallets?

Electrical

  • Are there any electrical broken sockets, plug, wires or switches?

  • Are leads kept away from sources of damage (e.g. water, heat, vehicles, trolleys etc.)?

  • Do electrical leads have current test tags?

  • When was the last inspection by a qualified electrician held?

  • Are safety switches fitted and active to all circuits?

  • When was the last time an inspection or test was undertaken by a qualified electrician?

  • Are there any flicking or broken light fittings or globes?

  • Are light fittings clean and in good condition?
