Host commitment

  • Is the host organisation accredited to a safety management system?

  • Does the host have a documented system for managing safety?

  • Does the host know where they can find information on WHS Act & Legislation relevant to their jurisdiction

  • Does the host have an up to date WHS policy?

  • Has the host made any changes (improvements) to their WHS systems?

Incident & Injury

  • Does the Host have a procedure to manage noise in the workplace?

  • Has the host established a good safety record where there have been no notifiable incidents to the regulator in the past 12 months?

  • Has the Host implemented sufficient WHS systems to prevent any prohibition or any other notices by the regulator?

  • Are you the best safety contact person for the host? Or who is the best contact?

Injury Management

  • Does the host organisation ensure incidents are reported, investigated and actions taken to prevent a reoccurrence are followed up?<br>(How is that done?)

  • Has the host employer identified the most common causes of injury within the workplace?<br>(How many last year?)

  • Does the host organisation have a formal (documented or well understood) process for reporting safety concerns?

  • Will the host organisation provide alternative duties for AiGTS employees who are injured at work?

  • Does the Host have a Fire Warden and do they have up to date training?

  • Safety signage in place including emergency exits

  • General housekeeping is to a good standard
