Section 1 - General Information

  • Does the area experience high crime figures, terrorism incidents, social unrest, natural disasters, etc?

Section 2 - Physical Security

  • Is there a type of physical perimeter barrier present? (e.g. Fence/Trees/Walls)

  • Does the perimeter barrier surround the entire hotel?

  • Does the perimeter have intrusion detection systems? (e.g. CCTV, Sensory lighting, physical alarms)

  • If CCTV is featured, are the CCTV cameras monitored by dedicated personnel?

  • Is there adequate lighting around the hotel grounds?

  • Are secondary entrances to the hotel guarded or requiring a key access?

  • Do secured entrances have intruder systems? If so, how are they monitored?

  • Where is the emergency evacuation area for staff and guests.

  • Is there a possible alternative location away from general guests

  • Nearest hospital and what services do they have (ie. do they have A&E, 24hr doctors or does the hotel gave in house doctors?

  • Does the hotel have an underground entrance ?

  • Does hotel have its own VIP vehicles with driver?

  • Does reception have a view of the hotel entrance?

  • Is there 24 hour security at the main entrance?

  • Are checks conducted on cars, drivers and passengers before entry to the hotel?

  • Is hotel security primarily overt or covert?

  • Do vehicles entrances have gates or barriers?

  • Are hotel floors swipe card access only?

  • Are hotel floors accessible via fire stair exits? Can staff move from floor to floor using exits or are they locked from inside the fire stair wells?
