Inspection at Arbor

  • What type of arbor is it?

  • Arbor itself appears to be in good general shape? (look for cuts, cracks, crushing, bending, chipping, filing, wearing, etc)

  • Rods straight?

  • Top plate straight and in good shape?

  • Bottom plate straight?

  • Rear plate straight?

  • Swages are correct and thimbles are not deformed?

  • Connection points from the lift line to the arbor are in good visual shape regardless of type?

  • Shackles are in good shape, are tight, and are moused?

  • 2 lift lines or fewer are attached to a pear ring (if used)?

  • Arbor rod nuts (if present) are tight and well seated?

  • T Track Shoes aligned and appropriately tight?

  • Stop collars installed?

  • Spreader plate positions marked?

  • Enough spreader plates to have one at each marked position?

  • Handline terminations are well tied, zip tied or taped in place, and tight?

  • Pipe weight is marked in white?

  • Handline rope is in good shape?

  • For wire guides only: wires and guides are in good shape and appropriately tight?
