Install Audit General

  • Was the ETA communicated to the customer prior to the visit?

  • Was the customer informed about the installation process and any potential disruptions?

  • Are there any potential hazards or obstructions in the installation area (e.g., sharp edges, excessive dust, extreme temperatures)?

Cabling

  • Has a BFP been used where external cable becomes internal?

  • Is the cable routed correctly?

  • Are cables properly supported and secured to prevent stress and damage?

  • Are all cable ties flush cut? provide picture

  • Have Velcro ties been used internally?

Fire Safety

  • Has the appropriate fire-stopping material been used to seal any new penetrations made through fire-rated walls or floors?

  • Are fire extinguishers readily available in the installation area?

  • Have all personnel involved in the installation been trained in fire safety procedures?

  • Are there any existing fire detection or suppression systems that could be affected by the installation?

  • Are fire alarms and emergency exits clearly marked and unobstructed?

Splicing

  • Is the splice box/Panel labelled? Show Evidence

  • Is BFP secured and labelled correctly? Show Evidence.

  • Is the splice box secured?

  • Are unused cable ports or openings properly sealed or capped?

Completion

  • Has Work Area been left tidy and clear of debris? show picture

  • Are there any signs of damage to existing infrastructure caused by the installation?

Labelling

  • Have all devices and plugs been labelled?

  • Are all cables clearly labelled with their destination?
