  • 6. Is there a Felling License, Approved Forest Plan or Planning permission on file? Or Windblow

  • Map should correspond to area shown on contract checklist map.

  • 7.Has the certified flag been set correctly on Navision and has the correct membership number been entered?

  • Check the tick box on Navision. Is the certificate number the same as stated as 7 above less the last 3 digits for SWL.

  • 8.Do sales agreements correctly state the certification status of the wood and the correct certificate number?

  • If timber is sold under quota we should respond N/A

  • 9. Does the Scottish Woodlands Self Billing Invoice or the invoice fro m the seller correctly state certification status and the sells Membership Number?

  • Check that the certificate number stated is the same as that on the membership documentation. This is the documentation between SWL and the owner of the timber.

  • 10. Is this certification status correctly stated on the Contract Checklists for the Harvesting Contractors and Hauliers?

  • Check the tick box on the Contract Checklists. FSC/PEFC or No

  • 11. Does the date on the earliest TAN for this job come after the date of certification?

  • Compare the date on the earliest weight ticket with the date of first certification.

On a sample of 6 to 8 TANs check the following

  • 12. What is the certification claim made on the TAN and is this correct?

  • FSC 100%, Controlled wood, PEFC, Uncertified

  • 13. Has the correct book been used or has the TAN been altered?

  • 14. Has the TAN been altered?

  • 15. If altered was a CAR raised? If not, raise a CAR

  • Certified timber sold as Non-certified or Controlled wood- MINOR CAR

  • Non-certified or Controlled Wood sold as Certified timber- MAJOR
