1.0 Training Program (Safety / Training Department)

  • Do primary containers contain a primary container label which identifies the chemical, hazard statement, the address and phone number of responsible person and hazards associated with the chemical?

  • Does the site post a document showing how to access an SDS?

4.0 Employee behaviors (Observation and Interview)

  • Are all secondary containers marked with HMI labels or equivalent?

  • Do employees know how to access an SDS?

  • Do employees know what an SDS is?

5.0 Documentation and Retention (Engineering / Maintenance / Safety)

  • Does the site maintain training documents for a period of 3 years?

  • Does the site maintain SDS forms for period in which the chemical is on plant site?

  • Does the site maintain SDS records of any chemicals brought onto plant site by the contractor?
