Introductions

  • 1. Purpose
    The purpose of this audit report is to provide a complete, accurate, concise and clear record of the audit undertaken.

    2. Introduction - Plan
    This report relates to an Internal Management System Audit undertaken by a Schneider Electric Internal Auditor to confirm continued compliance with the requirements of the Schneider Electric Document Management System and ISO 39001
    The Audit findings may result in the recording of Non-compliance conditions or Opportunities for improvement.
    Non-compliance Conditions relate to areas where Schneider Electric procedures, instructions, process guides etc. are not properly implemented and are indicated by an [MINCR or MANCR] code.
    It is mandatory that Non-compliance Conditions be responded to via the Non-conformance process.
    Opportunities for Improvement, indicated by an [OFI] code, are actions which are strongly urged to be implemented in the interest of good management practices but which are not to be considered as conditions that may affect Schneider Electric Ltd - continued registration. Opportunities for Improvement are.


    3. Audit Objectives - Plan
    To determine the conformity to the management system in the area of the assessment of risk and control of site based activities in relation to access, egress and on-site movement of pedestrians and vehicles.

    4. The Audit Scope – Plan
    • The audit will be confined to the relevant infrastructure, process, functions, and activities within Schneider Electric, Stirling, Road, Stirling Court, South Marston Industrial Estate, Swindon, Wilts, SN3 4TQ

Review the effectiveness of previous non conformity action RTMS 11.2.2

  • Have all previous audit non conformance's been closed out effectively?

  • Has the route cause of non conformance been identified and recorded?

Sites owned or Leased, RTSMS 6.2.1 ISO 6.2/8.1

  • Has the site HS&S resource carried out a traffic and pedestrian segregation review? <br>

  • Has the traffic and pedestrian review been review within the last 12 months or after any changes?

  • Have all the actions identified on the review been effectively closed out?

  • Does the traffic and pedestrian segregation review consider the following;

  • Safe movement of pedestrians to and from vehicles

  • Adequate Segregation of pedestrians and vehicles

  • Safe and efficient access of vehicles on and around the site?

  • Provision of safe assembly points for fire or similar emergency?

  • Adequate access for emergency vehicles?

  • Site rules, speed limits and information?

  • Winter weather arrangements?

  • Where inadequate current controls are identified, has the designated site-based Health,Safety and Environment Resource developed and implemented a suitable action plan, designed to address the issues identified?<br>

Awareness and communication (Inc communication to site visitors ) RTMS 9.6/12.0, ISO 7.4/7.5

  • What has the site done to promote road safety within the workplace? (i.e Qtr campaigns/incentives)

  • How are road safety messages, Bulletins/communications, KPIs communicated through the business?

  • IS the latest RTMS policy and ISO certificate clearly displayed on site?

  • How does the site communicate site rules to visitors? (Can be printed or specific induction)

  • Does visitor information however displayed or comunicated include<br>- Speed limits and traffic calming measures?<br>-Information on routes for pedestrians and vehicles?<br>-Parking procedures such as reverse parking?<br>-Not to unload vehicles in designated parking spaces?

Business based Health, Safety and Environment Resources. RTMS 7.2.18 ISO 5.3

  • Has the business based or site HS&S resource implemented a process for vehicle inspections?

  • Are all vehicle inspections up to date with evidence of completion?

  • How are actions raised from vehicle inspections recorded, actioned and monitored?

  • Does the site have any pool cars or vans and are they subject to a periodic vehicle inspection?

  • Do car derived commercials have telematics system fitted?

  • How does the business ensure persons using company pool cars/car derived commercials for work are safe, legal and competent to drive them? ( i.e RoSPA/Local licence check procedure/FDRI)

Reporting, non conformity, corrective and preventative action management. RTMS 11.1.1 ISO 9.2

  • Can the business demonstrate how it records road traffic related incidents and accidents?

  • Have they been investigated?

  • Was a root cause identified with corrective & preventative action taken and recorded?
