Isolator a

  • 1.1 Specified manufacture isolator used

  • 1.2. Isolator correct size (amps)

  • 1.3 Isolator used with the correct quantity of poles

  • 1.4 Isolator mounted at the correct height.

  • 1.5 Isolator mounted within suitable distance & line of sight of connected appliance.

  • 1.6 Suitable isolator mounting fixings used.

  • 1.7 No holes drilled in isolator enclosure to effect the IP rating of the isolator

  • 1.8 Suitable cable gland used & checked for tightness.

  • 1.9 When isolator is installed externally, all gland entries will be only from the bottom so as to prevent water ingress.

  • 2.0 All connected cable cores checked for tightness & without any copper strands showing.

  • 2.1 Verify that the earth cable conduct is connected straight through the isolator.

  • 2.2 Check functionally of the isolator ON/OFF.

  • 2.3 Check isolator is labelled.

  • 2.4 Check that all connected cables are tested & recorded on a separate test sheet.

  • 2.5 Does the isolator need to be locked off until connected equipment is commissioned.
