Ask for help, breakup load, reduce weight or use carts or proper equipment when necessary
Lifting: legs bent, wide stance, chin up, back straight, and lift with your legs, not your back. Use a power-lift stance.
Lifting/Carrying: Getting proper leverage for use of arms or legs, not back, for pulling and not trying to lift or pull from extended reach. Push rather than pull whenever possible, turn with whole body not waist when carrying load, use good posture; takes regular breaks when kneeling or performing repetitive tasks or for prolonged tasks (such as standing at a workbench, squatting, or holding an item for a long period of time). -
