Lift & Bay Inspection

  • 1. Clearance around Lift<br>

  • 2. Concrete Condition

  • 3. Raise Lift to Max. height, verify Safety Bar engages each level

  • 4. Is Lift secured to Floor properly ? Are all nuts & bolts present and secure

  • 5. Check anchor bolts, torque to 80 ft/lbs.

  • 6. Examine all structural components for signs of Fatigue, Overloading, Cracks or Broken welds

  • 7. Are spotting blocks present

  • 8. Are rubber pads present

  • Do Pads need to be "Turned", or "Replaced", specify number to be replaced?

  • 9. If applicable, are "Yellow" plastic inserts needed<br>

Lift Platform, Legs, & Lock Bar

  • 1. Is Safety Release Handle bent, (if So, REPLACE)

  • 2. Check hinge pins for Corrosion & binding, making sure Cotter pins and/or Snap Rings are installed & visable

  • Check the operation of the positive stop & lift locks

  • 5. Confirm proper operation of the lock release mechanisms & lock reset devices

  • Insure all pivot points are lubricated

Hydraulic Hose, Cylinder, & Power unit

  • 1. Inspect Fittings for any leaks

  • 2. Inspect cylinder hose for any cuts, abrasions, or leaks

  • 3. Inspect fluid reservoir for cracks

  • 4. Is Reservoir level, at an acceptable level? (If not refill with ATF fluid only)

  • 5. Is Reservoir cap missing ?

  • 6. What style of Pump are you looking at?

  • 7. Check electrical motor switch cover for damage or exposed wires

  • 8. Inspect power cord for any cuts, or loose connections

  • 9. Check Lift control to ensure an "Automatic" return to "Neutral" or "Off" when released
