Electrics

  • Before using any electrical items you must carry out a visual inspection to check for the following:
    - burnt/nipped/cut cables and flexes
    - damaged or split boxes, casings and covers
    - damaged or faulty components
    - PAT testing labels are in date
    Any items found to be faulty must immediately removed from circulation for repair/disposal.

  • Have you carried out a visual inspection on all the electrical items?

  • Have you identified (and removed) any damaged/broken electrical items for repair/disposal?

set up

  • It is important that no stored loose items and equipment are left out of storage at the end of the shift. Only items that have been deemed safe can be stored in the storage block. Any trip hazards identified must be addressed immediately upon discovery.

  • Have all left over stall bars/boards been returned to the storage area?

  • Have all empty stalls been removed or had tables taken away, and made safe? (E.g. Cables underneath removed or covered)

  • Have you checked to make sure that there are no trip hazards/trailing cables on site?

  • Have you ensured that Traders have not moved stalls and are in their allocated stalls?

  • Are all wires placed neatly under matts?

  • Have all storage cages and items been returned to Block 2 with storage doors locked?

  • Have any spills been identified? (Cleaners notified, cones placed etc.)

  • Have you noticed any other Health and Safety or maintenance issues on the Estate as a whole to report?

  • Please give details:

Fire Safety

  • Are all Fire Exits clear? (Entrance to Blocks, Residential, Back of Commercial etc.)

Equipment

  • is all equipment away and doors safety locked?

  • are radios/iPad on charge for next shift?

  • storage keys left in locked box?

Gazebos

  • are all gazebos weighted down?

  • is gazebo in good condition please state no if need repairs ?

  • Please sign to confirm that you have completed the above and checked in with the Market Manager prior to leaving site.
