Bedrooms

  • Beds made with minimal creases, using company approved bedding that is free from marks and damage

  • Pillows stood up, edges tucked inwards, firm at front, soft at the back

  • Mattress protector must be present and be the correct size for the bed<br>

  • The mattress must be clean and in good repair with no obvious sagging. <br>Where there are turning labels the mattress must be turned to the <br>guidelines on the mattress

  • Where the mattress is zip and link this must be correctly zipped when <br>made as a double

  • The bed base must be clean and in good repair

  • The bedroom area odour, on arrival, must be neutral

  • Where lights are key card controlled: During British summer time all lights <br>must be left off. In the winter (GMT) the bedside lights can be left on. In <br>non key card all lights must be left off at all times

  • Where there is a spyhole this is clean and in good repair

  • Floor, walls and ceiling must be clean and in good repair

  • A bin must be present with a liner that is secure

  • Security coat hangers must be present with none missing. A minimum of 5 <br>hangers

  • The TV remote control must be placed on the self below the TV or on the <br>desk

  • Any merchandising must be brand approved and be clean and in good <br>repair

  • The kettle must be clean and in good repair and empty of water

  • A hairdryer must be present, clean and in good repair

  • Amenities must be set to standard they must be clean, in good condition <br>and in date

  • Bedroom dust free including chair legs and back of chair

Lighting

  • Lamps and shades free of dust

  • Turn on all lights to check if they're operating

  • Check for proper tone of light bulbs

Bathroom

  • The bathroom area odour, on arrival, must be neutral

  • Floor, walls and ceiling must be clean and in good repair

  • All bathroom amenities, fixtures and fittings (including bath, sink, toilet etc) are clean, free from staining and in good repair<br>

  • All lighting must be working with lamps that are the same tone

  • All bathroom amenities must be set to standard

  • Bathroom extraction must be working, if it is of the type that runs only when the bathroom light is turned on it must run for between 2 and 5 minutes after the light is switched off. This helps to prevent mould

  • Mould must not be present<br>

  • Soap and shower gel dispensers should be clean, in good repair and sufficiently stocked for the next guest

  • Minimum of one full and one half full toilet rolls should be available in all <br>bathrooms. If on a holder, these must be V folded

  • One set of towels must be folded and placed on the towel rail or vanity <br>unit (if no towel rail). Additional towelling must be placed in the <br>wardrobe

  • A bin must be present with a liner that is secure

  • Where the room is accessible the pull cord must not be tied up, it must <br>be working<br>

  • The shower curtain must be clean with no staining, left pulled halfway <br>across the bath, tucked inside with the showerhead visible.<br>

  • The toilet lid must be left up

  • Behind bathroom doors floor clean

  • Taps buffed with no grime around edges

  • Skirting board in good repair and clean

  • Bath towel sign on towel rail

Laundry Rooms

  • Linen rooms and other store rooms must be clean, tidy and in good repair<br>

  • All linen room shelving must be labelled, where linen and cleaning items are placed

  • Linen rooms are kept locked and secure

  • Linen room equipment is clean and in good repair

  • Cots (minimum 1) available, clean and in good repair, sheet to be supplied

  • All chemicals must be in the correct container with lids and labels present

  • A log must be kept to ensure keys are managed

  • Deep cleans take place monthly

  • For team safety and guest security only the bedroom door that is being <br>serviced can be wedged open

  • Linen must not be placed on the floor

  • The carry tray must be clean and in good repair

  • Cloths must be kept separate to avoid cross contamination

  • The carry tray must never be left unattended

  • Whilst working in the room this must be placed in the bathroom

  • Chemicals are to be used and diluted correctly
