Master Liveaboards - Bunkering checklist

Have you sounded the tank and logged the results?

Have you verified the bunker quantity that is required?

Is the 'B' flag flying/red light showing?

Have you checked the weather checked and noted it in logbook?

Is the "NO SMOKING" sign displayed?

Have you checked the mooring arrangements?

Is the anti-spill box ready and available?

Are the SOPEP kit and fire extinguishers readily available?

Are the bunker points not in use securely blanked?

Is the hose connection secured?

Is the drip tray in place?

Are valves to bunker from manifold and relevant tanks opened?

Have you checked the vessel's supplier flow meter and recorded it in the logbook?

Is there an established communication between engineer/bunker station, bridge and supplier ?

Have you verified with bridge the start of bunker and recorded the time in log book?

Is there an established communication between engineer/bunker station, bridge and supplier ?

Has an established flow control procedure been established with a maximum flow rate?

Has the fuel quality, quantity and specification been verified?

Has a sample been taken?

Is there a report confirming quality (random check)?

Is the flow control managed when filling last tank with slow down for topping off?

Are the bunker valve and drain valve closed?

Did you log the time the valves were closed?

Have you closed the line valve (as required) and disconnected the bunker line from the vessel?

Did you cap and secure the bunker station?

Did you close the bunker manifold/tank valve?

Have you turned off the red light/put B flag down?

Did you inform the bridge that bunkering was complete?

Is the bunker delivery note double checked? Correctly completed and signed ?

Have you made the entry into the Oil Record Book?

Is the scupper unplugged?

Have you stored away the SOPEP kit, the anti-spill box and fire extinguishers as well as removed signage?
