  • Any H&S actions identified shall be entered onto Audit/Inspection Action Log and brought to the urgent attention of the appropriate personnel as soon as possible. Contractor/Project Manager to be notified of actions required/taken.

  • S = Satisfactory, U = Unsatisfactory, O = Observation, NA = Not Applicable

  • Is the public fenced off or otherwise protected from the work?

  • When work has stopped for the day are all gates secured?

  • Is the perimeter fencing secure and undamaged?

  • Are warning signs posted in conspicuous places around fencing?

  • Are all ladders removed or their rungs boarded so that they cannot be used?

  • Are excavations and openings securely covered or fenced off to prevent unauthorised access?

  • Is all plant immobilised to prevent unauthorized use?

  • Are material, tools and plant stored safely?

  • Are flammable or dangerous substances locked away in secure storage places?

  • Is rubbish cleared away or placed in locked skips at the end of each shift? Are any items left of site which could be set fire to?

  • When site is closed down for long weekends and holidays does a manager tour and inspect the site prior to site closure?

  • Is adequate signage displayed on public roads warning of the construction activities (road crossings, pipe dumps, site entry etc.)?

  • Are all public rights of way near to and through the site identified and protected? Are employees aware of these?
