Elevator Inspection

  • Administration Building

  • Insert the elevator fire service key into the lock pad and move the key from the “OFF” position to the “ON” position and hold until the elevator doors fully open. Once the doors are open remove the key leaving the elevator in the “ON” position.

  • Walk into the elevator and locate the lock pad. Insert the key into the lock and move it to the “On” position and remove the key.

  • Press and hold the “Floor 2” button and the “Close Door” button simultaneously and do not release until the elevator begins to move.

  • When the elevator stops, press and hold the “Open Door” button until the doors fully open

  • Press and hold the “Floor 1” button and do not release until the doors close and the elevator begins to move down.

  • Once the elevator stops, press and hold the “Open Door” button until the doors open completely.

  • Remain inside the elevator and insert the elevator key into the lock and move the lock from the “On” position to the “Off” position and remove the key.

  • Exit the elevator and insert the elevator key into the external lock. Move the key position from “On” to “Bypass” until the elevator doors are completely closed.

  • Once the doors are fully closed move the key from the “Bypass” position to the “Off” position and remove the key.

  • Breezeway Elevator (Warehouse)

  • Insert the elevator fire service key into the lock pad and move the key from the “OFF” position to the “ON” position and hold until the elevator doors fully open. Once the doors are open remove the key leaving the elevator in the “ON” position.

  • Walk into the elevator and locate the lock pad. Insert the key into the lock and move it to the “On” position and remove the key.

  • Press and hold the “Floor 2” button and the “Close Door” button simultaneously and do not release until the elevator begins to move.

  • When the elevator stops, press and hold the “Open Door” button until the doors fully open

  • Press and hold the “Floor 1” button and do not release until the doors close and the elevator begins to move down.

  • Once the elevator stops, press and hold the “Open Door” button until the doors open completely.

  • Remain inside the elevator and insert the elevator key into the lock and move the lock from the “On” position to the “Off” position and remove the key.

  • Exit the elevator and insert the elevator key into the external lock. Move the key position from “On” to “Bypass” until the elevator doors are completely closed.

  • Once the doors are fully closed move the key from the “Bypass” position to the “Off” position and remove the key.
