  • HOUSEKEEPING IN PLANT ROOMS-Check all plant rooms for accumulations and unauthorised storage. Any items found should be recorded and action taken.

  • EMERGENCY LIGHTING- monthly-quarterly-Bi-Annaul tests completed and faults recorded

  • FIRE DOORS/SHUTTERS AND FIRE STOPPING- Check to include all riser cupboards, any fire stopping issues to be reported and action taken.

  • WASTE STORAGE AREAS- Check all bins and external waste storage facilities, include smoking areas and public access. Record any problems and action taken.

  • KITCHENS AND SUPPRESSION SYSTEMS Check all suppression systems in all high risk areas, include control of deep fat fryers and oil

  • ROOF VOIDS – Check all used voids for unauthorised storage or insecure access. Record all defects and undertake action.

  • WET/DRY RISERS – Check all risers, ensure seals are in tact. Record any defects and action taken.

  • LAUNDRY AND OR LINEN STORAGE AREAS- Check housekeeping of facilities and lint removal from dryers. Ensure control of dirty linen.

  • TRAINING – All new starters and agency staff training up to date

  • DOCUMENTATION- all weekly/monthly forms and documented checks completed and up to date.

  • EMERGENCY EXITS- Are emergency exits clear from obstructions and operate properly.

  • GUEST WALKWAYS/CORRIDORS- Are walkways and corridors free from hazards and well lit? are exit signs clear and visible.

  • FIRE & SECURITY- Have weekly and monthly fire and security checks been completed and documented.

  • TRIP HAZARDS- Are there any trip hazards i.e. worn carpets, loose thresholds, trailing cables.

  • FIRE PANELS- Are the fire panels in normal operation or showing faults/ disablements

  • VESDA- Is the VESDA system working with no Faults.

  • FIRE FIGHTING EQUIPMENT- Firefighting equipment in place and untampered? are extinguishers fully charged and tagged.

  • SIGNAGE- Are appropriate signs in place and up to date with relavent information/directions/indications

  • FIRE EVAC BOX- Are all items available and ready in the EVAC box i.e. foil blankets, HiVIZ vests, loud speaker, whistles, torches,
