STAFF

  • Have the 4 hourly & morning and weekly reports been completed and filed?

  • Are service reports completed and filed for work undertaken on the fuel site?

  • Are the fuel reconciliations being completed daily, and have any discrepancy's outside the prescribed limits been reported? Is the the monthly reconciliation report attached to monthly audit report?

  • Have the weekly water test and manual dips been completed and recorded?

COMPLIANCE

  • Are all the compliance documents( site specific certificates etc..) current and readily available for inspection if required?

FORECOURT

  • Is the first aid kit fully stocked? Are there trained first aid staff on duty at the supermarket?

  • Are all overhead lights covered- no exposed bulbs?

PUMPS

  • Check the pump TMU is up to date, and the stickers are legible and in-damaged?

  • Are hoses free of cuts and not showing fabric?

  • Do hoses clear the ground when they are not in use?

  • Are pumps securely fixed to the forecourt?

  • Are pump panels and the panel locks secure and intact?

  • Are nozzle holsters intact?

  • Are all the diesel flaps in place and clearly marked on the diesel nozzles?

  • Does each pump position have safety signage " No Smoking, Stop your engines"?

  • Are the fuel grades legible on pumps?

  • Are the operating instructions on the pump legible?

UNDERGROUND

  • Do all dip points have secure fitting lids, grade identifiers, and tank numbers?

  • Are fill and dip points free of water and mud, and have secure fitting caps?

  • Do all tanks have dipsticks?

  • Are the vent pipes free of product stains?

DRAINAGE

  • Are ACCO drains free of grit?

  • Has the interceptor / separator been cleaned in the last six months? Are reports of file?

  • Is the interceptor/ separator clean(there should only be a light glossy oil gleam on surface do water)?

  • Check that the blue isolating valve opens and closes freely if the interceptor is fitted with on. Leave in the "OPEN" position.

  • Check the sand filter/s. Are they clean/ clear?

  • Are all storm water drains free of rubbish with secure gratings?

EMERGENCY

  • Does the faculty have the Emergency Procedures/ Flip chart in a readily accessible location, which is known to staff? Fuel shed/ Checkout?

  • Is the spill kit fully stocked?

  • Have all the relevant staff attended the fuel safety induction course?

  • Is the PA system to the forecourt fully operational?

  • Is the CCTV to the forecourt fully operational?

  • Are fire extinguishers full and accessible for use?

  • Have fire extinguishers been serviced in the last 12 months?
