Understanding the Scores!

  • Here is a key to help understand the scores given in the audit. We should as a company be aiming for scores of 4 or 5 out of 5! We want to be the best in the industry!

  • Score: 1/5 = Something Terrible went wrong

  • Score: 2/5 = A couple of big things to work on next time

  • Score: 3/5 = A couple of Minor points to work on next time

  • Score: 4/5 = Almost Perfect (Very minor items noticed, but nothing to worry about)

  • Score: 5/5 = Perfect (couldn't find anything even when we tried!!!)

Lounge

  • Hard surface cleaning - Including mirrors, window ledges, blinds, skirting, door frames, Tv's (anywhere there could be dust)

  • Soft surface Cleaning - Including Sofas, pillows, rugs, cushions, throws, blankets etc.

  • Flooring - Is it clean (i.e hoovered, mopped or both)?

  • Is the room dressed properly? Ornaments, pictures, furniture, blankets, TV remote, flowers - Are they all in the correct position?

Kitchen

  • is the dishwasher empty?

  • Hard surface cleaning - Including mirrors, window ledges, blinds, skirting, door frames, kitchen worktops, cupboard shelves, dining tables, chairs, (anywhere there could be dust)

  • Is everything in the right place? Plates, bowls, mugs, glasses, pots, pans, etc - Are they all organised neatly and in their own respective cupboard or shelf?

  • Is the cutlery and crockery clean?

  • Flooring - Is it clean (i.e hoovered, mopped or both)?

  • Is the room dressed properly? Ornaments, pictures, furniture, flowers - Are they all in the correct position?

  • Are there enough consumables for the next stay - Including: tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, sponges, hand soap, dishwasher tablets

  • Are the fridge, freezer, microwave and oven empty/clean?

  • Has the crumb tray been emptied on the toaster?

  • Has the kettle been emptied?

  • Is the oven clean?

Bedroom 1

  • Hard surface cleaning - Including mirrors, window ledges, blinds, skirting, door frames, Tv's (anywhere there could be dust)

  • Soft surface Cleaning - Including Sofas, pillows, rugs, cushions, throws, blankets etc.

  • Flooring - Is it clean (i.e hoovered, mopped or both)?

  • Is the room dressed properly? Ornaments, pictures, furniture, blankets, beddings, TV remote, flowers etc - Are they all in the correct position?

  • Is there enough towels for each guests placed on the bed? (1 x Bath Towel + 1 x Hair Towel)

  • Are the drawers, wardrobes etc been emptied?

Bedroom 2

  • Hard surface cleaning - Including mirrors, window ledges, blinds, skirting, door frames, Tv's (anywhere there could be dust)

  • Soft surface Cleaning - Including Sofas, pillows, rugs, cushions, throws, blankets etc.

  • Have any cupboards / drawers etc been emptied?

  • Is there enough loo roll (3 rolls) and hand soap for the next guests stay?

  • Is there 1 x bath mat and 1 x hand towel?

  • Is the shower plug clean and not full of hair?

Other Areas

  • Are the stairs clean (hoovered/mopped)?

  • Other areas that should be wiped/dusted/cleaned such as bannisters light or light switched etc.

  • Is there anything to report that you feel the house keeper should have spotted and pointed out?
