Trouble Commissioning ONT

  • Is the optical Green?

  • What is your Power Meter Reading?

  • What is the location of your ONT (Serial ID provided to Chorus)

  • What is the location of your SLID (SLID is provided on S/O)

  • Call Chorus and ask if any other workers are available on your allocated PON.

  • Are there any other workers/active customers on your PON?

  • Call Chorus and Ask if your allocated PON has been activated. If yes, then follow the below checks. If no, request Chorus to Activate your PON and start from step 1.

  • Does the light source go all the way from ONT to FAT/ABFAT/CABINET?

  • Tested power at splitter? What is the Power Meter Reading at Splitter?

  • Did you check if the splitter is plugged in correctly at the back?

  • Is the "E" side built correctly? (Aka - is the feedback loop correct for splitter?)
