LIFTING SCHEME

  • (1) Is the proposed lifting scheme in compliance with Table B1 on annex B of NOROSK R-002?

  • (2) Is the MH scheme described in MH report feasible or not? (Keywords - Lifting clearance, Clash while lifting and removal, Sling clash, load transfer, pulling post)

  • 2.1 Is there sufficient clearance height while lifting?

  • 2.2 Check for potential clashes while lifting and removal

  • 2.3 Trolley block / sling clashing with outfitting?

  • 2.4 Check for load transfer scheme and orientation of pad eyes.

  • 2.5 Pulling post provided if required?

  • (3) If portable MH equipment planned to be used as per MH report then can they be brought to the given place (Mezzanine deck)?

  • (4) If portable MH equipment planned to be used as per MH report then is there sufficient space for assembly?

  • (5) If tripod is planned to be used as p MH report then is it possible to bring trolley directly under the item?

  • (6) Section 5.2.1.1.0-8, NORSOK S-002 - Manual lifting of gas bottles shall be avoided.

TRANSPORTATION SCHEME

  • (1) Is the proposed transportation scheme to the lay down area as described in MH report feasible.

  • (2) Are the trolley routes up to the lay down area wide enough?

  • (3) Are there any obstructions in the trolley routes up to the lay down area?

  • (4) Are the trolley routes up to the lay down area plated (not grated)?

  • (5) Is the lowering scheme (davit) available for lowering the items from mezzanine decks to process / weather deck?

  • (6) Is there a clear drop zone available while lowering the items from the mezzanine decks to pro ESA / weather deck? Any clashes?

  • (7) is there any lifting operation over live HC system, FW system and emergency control and communication system? This shall be avoided.

  • (8) Section 5.2.1.1.0-1, NORSOK S-002 - Transportation ways where trolleys and carts are used shall not contain steps and thresholds.

LIFTING EQUIPMENT

  • (1) Is the trolley log on the monorail present?

  • (2) Is the monorail trolley lug load tested?

  • (3) Is the monorail trolley lug provided with SWL marking?

  • (4) Is the lifting equipment (pad eye, monorail, davit, gantry etc.) load tested as per Table H4 and H6, Annex H of NORSOK R-002?

  • (5) Is the lifting equipment (pad eye, monorail, davit, gantry etc.) marked as per section 5.4.4 of NORSOK R-002 (2012 edition)?

  • (6) Is the lifting equipment (pad eye, monorail, davit, gantry etc.) color coded correctly (Yellow- RAL 1003)

  • (7) Is the load test certificate available for lifting equipment (pad eye, monorail, davit, gantry etc.)? State the number.

  • (8) Section 7.7, NORSOK R-003 - If trolleys are used end stops on beam shall be installed.

  • (9) Is monorail provided with rack and pinion device (TKPH MH Philosophy)

  • (10) Section 5.4.6, NORSOK R-002 (2012 edition) - Powered lifting appliances shall have devices preventing unexpected start-up in accordance with EN 1037.

  • (11) Section 5.4.7, NORSOK R-002 (2012 edition) - Lifting appliances shall be equipped with fixed or moveable guards in accordance with EN953 to protect persons from mechanical, thermal or other hazards.

  • (12) Section 5.4.8 NORSOK R-002 (2012 edition) - For both operation and regular maintenance activities, exposed areas of lifting equipment shall be designed with safety zones and distances to prevent personal being harmed or injured by moving parts. Reference is made to ISO 13857 and EN349.

  • (13) Section 5.7.6, NORSOK R-002 (2012 edition) - Where the power transmissions of mechanisms are not able to hold the load or moveable part of a lifting appliance, a parking brake shall be provided. Brakes shall automatically be activated without undue delay when the motion control lever is returned to the neutral position, at power failure, control failure or at emergency stop.

  • (14) Section 7.7, NORSOK R-003 - Trolleys without automatic brake shall always be secured against unintentional movement during and after use.

  • (15) Section B.2, NORSOK R-002 - Permanently installed lifting equipment, which are exposed to wind, rain, snow or sea spray shall be designed with extra protection against corrosion.

  • (16) Section B.2, NORSOK R-002 - Lifting equipment near flares, burners and exhaust - Effect of thermal exposure to be evaluated (on sensitive electric components, non-metallic materials, steel wire ropes, ventilation of cabin, oil temperature)

VERIFICATION & DOCUMENTATION

  • (1) Section 8.1, NORSOK R-003 - Before a permanent attachment point (typically lifting pad, lifting beam) for a lifting appliance is used for the first time, an enterprise of competence shall issue a confirmation that it is ready for use.

  • (2) Section 4.14 NORSOK R-002 (2010 edition) - Lifting equipment shall be subjected to internal verification by the manufacturer to ensure compliance with the requirements.

  • (3) Section E.1 NORSOK R-003 - All lifting equipment shall be accompanied by a declaration of conformity and shall be CE marked in accordance with DAT Regulation no. 820, order no. 522.

  • (4) Section E.1, NORSOK R-003 - All lifting equipment shall be accompanied by instructions for use in accordance with DAT Regulation no. 820, order no. 522.

  • (5) Section E.1, NORSOK R-003 - All lifting equipment shall be accompanied by a certificate from an enterprise of competence.
