Picking Line Inspection

  • Before Inspection, check your surroundings and conduct a visual risk assessment.
    Equipment must be isolated against unexpected start-up or movement.
    Carry out inspection in same direction, starting from same point each time.

Visual Inspection

  • Emergency Stops & Pull Cords

  • Belt Condition (no wear or breakage)

  • Belt tension and centred

  • Belt free from obstacles

Start Up

  • The following should be checked when turning on the conveyor from the control panel

  • Start-up alarms

  • Control Panel (gauges / warning lights)

  • No unusual noises, vibrations or smells

Lubrication

  • The following should be carried out weekly

  • Grease nipples & linkages

  • Other
