Product Information

  • Enter each item as it appears on the packing slip for this shipment. Each item (if from different lots or of differing products) receives its own entry.

  • In what condition did the product arrive?

  • STOP! TAKE PICTURES OF ANY POSSIBLY DEFECTIVE PRODUCT OR CRUSHED PALLETS OR BOXES.

  • Describe any damage

  • Inspect the packaging. Do you notice rips or tears, or maybe somewhere where it may be damaged, or where shipping instructions may not have been followed? Please take at least 1 picture.

Product Testing Protocols

  • Whiteness Test- using the X-RITE or BYK Color Analysis tools, measure the L*a*b* Color values and record them below. If you do not know how to operate either the X-RITE or BYK Color Analysis Tools please ask for assistance from the PRODUCTION MANAGER.

  • L* Color Value (between 0-100)

  • a* Color Value (between -128 and +128)

  • b* Color Value (between -128 and +128)

  • Whiteness Test Completed, including color values

  • Image Test- Take the roll to have a graphic added to it to ensure the paper will perform properly in production.

  • Image Test performed

  • The following tests are to be performed on incoming paper products to ensure that they meet ZoMazz quality and use standards and expectations.

Inspection Finalization

  • Summarize any damage found on shipment or on product.

  • Is Product Damaged?

  • Has Shipping/ Purchasing been notified of damaged product?

  • STOP! SHIPPING / PURCHASING MUST BE NOTIFIED OF ANY DAMAGE SO THE VENDOR CAN BE NOTIFIED.

  • STOP! BEFORE FILING THIS REPORT, BE SURE TO FILL OUT A "ZoMazz Product Rejection" REPORT IF THE PRODUCT BEING INSPECTED NEEDS TO BE REJECTED OR RETURNED TO THE MANUFACTURER.

  • NOTE: After product has been inspected, add a DATED AND SIGNED colored inspection tag to the product.
    GREEN: Product is good and may be used.
    YELLOW: Product needs further action. ACCEPTED (TEMPORARILY) AT RISK.
    PINK: Product is rejected, CANNOT BE USED, DO NOT PLACE INTO INVENTORY, QUARANTINE IMMEDIATELY.
