FIRST IMPRESSIONS

  • Windows - Glass/frames spotlessly clean and glass not cracked or chipped. Campaign implemented as per VM, correct signage, merch steamed, no visible tags, lights working & positioned?

  • Entrance - Shoe stands Correct footwear displayed, units are 100% full, each shoe priced, men's display size 7 to 8, ladies size 5 to 6, stuffed and laced?

  • Lead in and secondary Tables - Per the VM brief, correct product/correct signage on display, table not too full or too empty, flowers fresh/clean water, no clutter underneath?

STORE OPTIMIZATION

  • Promotions - Implemented as per VM, merchandised in correct/high traffic locations, correct signage in the correct formats, merch rotated when running low?

  • Floor fixtures - Positioned correctly in straight lines and even spacing, with relevant signage, arms, and shelves not overfilled, no dust or prestick residue, hanger quantity, and tagging disciplines adhered to?

  • Sizing - All merchandise sized correctly, size indicators displayed as per VM, grouped by color. Sizing checked multiple times a day by SL and dept team members?

  • Replenishment - Check that all merch has been filled in from the stockroom (with all sizes available) No merch in the stockroom that is not on display on the floor?

  • Rate overall store standards/VM etc..

  • Barcodes - Every product has a barcode, no handwriting on barcodes, any damaged barcodes replaced, for markdowns only original price and latest markdown?

  • Footwear Wall - Merchandised as per the VM brief. Correct sizes on display (ladies 5-6 and men's 8-9). Footwear stuffed and laced correctly. Lighting working as intended? (Old Khaki and Poetry - check shoe pricing on, sale shoes with previous price and current lower price).

  • Cabinets - Displays full, correct pricing, lights in working order, demo units working, all stock in security cages/areas on display in cabinets?

  • Lights - All working, positioned correctly to illuminate merch, clean and dust-free, max 48Hour turnaround time when lights go out?

  • Salesfloor - Swept, vacuumed, mopped until it is completely clean. Check under fixtures. Remove any prestick/size stickers/bubblegum?

  • Stockroom - Standards the same as the sales floor, stock grouped by categories, no stock directly touching the floor, no old convention/marketing material, Footwear/Apparel/Marketing areas not mixed?

  • Stockroom Footwear - Housed by styles, colors, size order smallest top left and largest bottom right, shoe boxes leveled out?

  • Markdowns & Consolidations - Actioned according to instruction. Area Leaders to consolidate all bits and pieces to one store. No single units in Stores? (4 or fewer items to be moved once a week as per the area leader instructions).

CUSTOMER SERVICE

  • Music & TV's - Only approved music played, correct volume for each Chain. TV's on at all times showing only approved content, check TV's behind POS?

  • Air-conditioning - In working order, vents clean and dust-free. The temperature in the store is comfortable. Problems reported to Area Leader within 1 hour?

  • Fitting Rooms - Spotlessly clean, clean mirrors, secured to wall mirrors, clean carpets, locks & bells in working order, no leftover hangers or clothing?

TEAM

  • Uniform and Name Badges - Everyone wearing correct uniform, name badges, trainee badges Max 5 day turnaround?
