Supervisors site inspection

The site safety diary must be completed with any relevant information like photo's, discussions, verbal instructions to whom etc. If NO has been marked for a question, actions of rectification must be included.

Administration

  • Have all trades and contractors been inducted?

  • Are site safety signs displayed?

  • Has site specific hazards been clearly outlined on the site safety coordination plan?

  • Are all RAMS in place and current for the tasks?

  • Have all operatives received RAMS briefings?

Housekeeping/Access Egress

  • Is personal protective equipment being worn where required?

  • Is site clean internally/externally?

  • Is there clear access to all work areas onsite?

  • Is welfare clean and fully stocked?

  • Is waste being segregated in to the correct waste streams?

  • Have the correct waste skips and bins been provided?

Fall Protection/Access Equipment

  • Are fall protection systems installed for works at heights and over?

  • Are fall protection systems compliant?

  • Is handover or compliance certificate available?

  • Are there any ladders in use?

  • Are the ladders in good clean condition?

  • Have the ladders been inspected and included on the ladder register?

  • Are all access towers tagged and built in accordance with the manufactures instructions?

  • Have access towers been erected by a trained competent person?

  • Are MEWPs in use?

  • Are the MEWP operators trained and competed?

Plant & Machinery

  • Is mobile plant or machinery onsite? If yes, plant & equipment checklist must be completed?

Electrical Equipment

  • Are all electrical leads and tools onsite tested and tagged?

  • Are leads organised to avoid creating trip hazards and run in safe locations?

  • Are the correct tools for the task in place and being used?

Sign Off
