Hot Work Details

  • This permit to works forms part of the safe system of working for Demolition Services and must be completed where work is likely to produce a source of ignition.

    This commonly includes but not limited to; welding, oxy-propane cutting, angle grinders and circular saw a used in the cutting of metal.

    No hot works are permitted without a valid permit.

  • Are persons entering and working in the hot work area trained and competent

Completion / Cancellation (Permit Issuer to complete)

  • All work associated with this permit has been completed. The work area and adjacent areas have been inspected for the duration of fire watch and post fire watch monitoring as stated in this permit. The work area has been cleared of any any debris and equipment and the area safe for reoccupation. This permit is now relinquished.

Continuation of Permit This permit is valid for a maximum of one working shift only and whilst all control measures detailed remain in place. Where works continue into the next working day, signing back onto the permit is possible (max 5 times) and only where 1. The SAME person is carrying out the works and signing back onto the permit 2. The SAME equipment is being used 3. The SAME methodology is being employed and therefore RAMS being followed. PRE-USE CHECKS must be carried out of all equipment and POWRA be exercised before commencing any works.
