Audit
COSHH Regulated Chemicals
Cleaning Operatives are only insured to use chemicals from recognised and Coshh regulated suppliers
COSHH Documentation on site
Documentation must be up to date and match all chemicals used by the cleaning operative(s)
Bleach NOT on site
Bleach has been illegal for over a decade except in households. H&S Officers have the right to test all site areas if this is present on site.
Correct Colour Coded Equipment
It is illegal not to supply cloths, mops & buckets of the same colour for designated areas. Closure for decontamination is the consequence of this not being followed.
Correct size mops for floor areas
Overcleaning with incorrect mop head causes soil transfer rather than cleaner areas.
Clean Equipment
Equipment attracts bacteria in their 1000's. All cleaning operatives are responsible for keeping this clean.
Industrial Equipment on Site
Recognised Industry Standard equipment is required for efficiency....NO Henry vacuum cleaners!
Machinery in Clean & Working Order
This becomes a health hazard to user and site if not kept clean.
Liability Insurance Certificate in Cleaning Cupboard
If this isn't present it is likely that the cleaning operative(s) is not insured. The site IS LIABLE for any claims.
